Topic: TotalMix do not detect my BabyFace proFS (The CC mode is not involved)

Hello, here is the problem:

I have just purchased a BabyFace Pro FS, and TotalMix does not detect it. I am on a Mac M1, running mac OS Sequoia 15.2, with BabyFace Firmware v320 and Driver 4.17. I updated the firmware with the Flash Tool without any problems. The BabyFace is selected in the Mac OS preferences, and outputs 1 & 2 work, but not the headphone output.

In Class Compliance Mode, it is detected by the Fireface USB settings software, and I can see its serial number. However, once I exit CC mode by using the select and Dim buttons at startup, it becomes visible again by mac OS Sequoia but remains invisible to TotalMix FX. I've reinstalled several times, but nothing changes, and now I’m out of ideas.

Thank you in advance for your help.

So Totalmix can open but it does nothing to the sound ?
Play music in the mac does not appear in the middle row in totalmix ?
Very unclear what goes on.
In Totalmix top left corner is the Babyface selected ?

TotalMix is installed and works but do not detect my Babyface, I can't open mixer window, I can't select my Babyface cause it doesn't appear in the list. But Mac os see it and sound goes out only on output 1&2.

check :
MacOS : System preferences / General / Startup items and extensions
scroll down to driver extensions and click the littke i-icon right side.
It may reveal a switch to enable the driver...

And also enable Totalmix for Microphone access :
MacOS : System preferences / Security and Privacy / Microphone :
Is Totalmix listed and enabled ? It should.

Still nothing appear in the 'Function & Device Select Window'; the device selection field remains desperately empty.

MacOS : System preferences / Security and Privacy / Microphone :

It should maybe, but it doesn't appear in the list. What could be the cause?

Something went wrong with the driver installation or is not yet finished.

MacOS System Preferences / Security and Privacy :
scroll down
May be there is a big ALLOW button ? Click it.

If only it were that simple, but thank you anyway.

Try install the driver again
if a window pops up with an OK button, click the other button, not OK.

Nothing was working, and I couldn’t figure out the source of the issue(s), so I decided to format my Mac Mini. I encountered no problems installing TotalMix, so the issue is now resolved. It will remain a mystery. Thank you again for your help.

Sincerely,
Thomas

I am having PRECISELY the same issue as this user but I absolutely cannot format my Macbook to fix it like they did.

Totalmix & Babyface Pro worked fine on my Macbook M4, updated to MacOS Golden Gate last week and Babyface Pro still works but only outputs through Ch 1/2 and not my headphone jack.

Babyface is recognized by the Macbook but is not recognized by Totalmix.

When I open Totalmix it appears at the top left of the screen [File - Function - Options - Window] but the mixer UI never appears.

I can go to "File -> New Total Mix Window" but in "Device Selection" the Babyface does not appear. When I hit "Create New Mixer Window" nothing happens.

Totalmix software is not listed in the "Microphone Permission" area.

I've tried re-installing the driver, tried installing an older version of Totalmix, nothing. Re-set CC mode multiple times, nothing.

I don't want to go back to my M-Audio audio interface but at this point I have work to finish and no options.

Re: TotalMix do not detect my BabyFace proFS (The CC mode is not involved)

What exactly does "re-set CC mode" refer to?
The device has to be in PC mode.
