Topic: ADI-648 shifting channels..

Hi!
A friend of mine had some problems with a ADI-648 setup.
Two Yamaha LS-9 (monitor/FoH) consoles connected via adat lightpipe, and madi (a coax line) between the ADI-648?s.
He said that occasionally channels swapped places i.e. ch 1 goes into ch 2 and the opposite.
Do you have any  idea what might be happening?
Does this sound like a syncproblem, coaxcable problem or a faulty ADI-648?
Do you any suggestions on how to best connect the system for the best reliable sync?

(He thought that maybe the unit was switching between 56ch and 64ch mode and that?s what causing it, also he says that when placing a comradio on top of the ADI648 it starts acting weird. ??? )

Hi,

is '96k frame' activated at one or both units? This could actually cause the error you describe, if the sample rate is supposed to be single speed.
