Topic: ADI-8DS config for external sync via adat

Hi all,

Can anyone clarify what the correct config is of the buttons on the front of the ADI-8DS for use with an E-MU 1212m, with the 1212m as master clock? Litepipes hooked up both ways between the units.

I know that the D/A button should be on INPUT, but should the A/D button be on INPUT or INT? Presumably INPUT as well? I couldn't work it out from the manual.

"INPUT" on the A/D side makes little sense as there is no digital input on the A/D side, so presumably setting INPUT on the A/D section actually means the input of the D/A litepipe, the same as setting INPUT on the D/A section?

If the D/A is set to INPUT, and the A/D is set to INT, is that going to cause problems in a closed loop system like this one?

Thanks!

Gary.

Input is correct... That way, both AD and DA will sync to the incoming ADAT signal.

Thanks for a super-fast response Daniel!

I started another topic about the 1212m and the ADI-8DS, would be grateful if you take a look...

Thanks!
