Re: Hello

The AES/EBU I/O is SPDIF compatible. You can use an adapter cable XLR <> RCA. See manual.

Probably yes, but it´s better to use a special AES/EBU to SPDIF cable.

I will ask at music store, but i have another question.

I have a Sond Blaster sound card in pc, which i have used for games .

I used to have fireface uc befor i have swtiched to fireface ufx.

So basicly what i did when i played the games,
My soundblaster card was connected to Fireface uc with optical cabel ,and soundblaster optical output could work only with s/pdif format
So I swtiched in "Fireface USB settings" ADAT to S/pdif protocol.

So when i wanted to play games, i jast disconnect usb cabel from fireface UC then go to Control Panel--> device meneger and eneble sound blaster card.

So basicly the sound was send from soundblaster card via optical cabel with s/pidif protocol to my fireface uc.

But now i wanted to do the same thing with my Fireface UFX but there is no signal coming to Fireface, so i might guess that the problem is that now in UFX optical in  doesn't not suport s/pidif protocol?

Am I correct?

Or I am doing something wrong?

If I am correct, Will this be fixed in the os update?

Re: Hello

Oh my, i jast did some rendom clicks and i have switched in "Fireface usb Settings"  "AES Imput" to "ADAT2"  and now i have signal coming from my soundcard DeadHorse

p.s.
but i guess this should be fixed because in terms of the termonologuy it is incorect like for example a button has one name but it does complitly different thing, if u understand what i mean...

because as i seid i connect my sound card to fireface ufx  card via optical cabel from optical out to optical in #2 of Fireface UFX and i am using s/pidif protocol

Re: Hello

Reading the manual would have made this whole thread obsolete, it seems...
