Topic: Fireface 400 driver not working on OS 10.6.7

Hello,


I'm trying to install my fireface 400 on my brand new macbook pro and the driver just can't install anything. It just dont recognize it.
I read a lot of forums and couldn't find anything helpful. There's still no working drivers for the latest OS version? When it will be released?
Someone?

2.91 working fine here on OS 10.6.7.

Yes, if I just unplug the new laptop and plug the same cable on the old MacBook Pro, works fine.
I can find the Fireface Settings on the applications folder, but when I click it, nothing happens. Then I tried to run Flash Update and it says theres no drivers or devices installed.
Really weird.

ever since the update my FF400 isn't working... It used to work fine, now the 'host' led is always lit...

reinstalling the driver appears to have fixed my problem...

to reinstall the driver, shoul I send the old RME apps to the trash and then install it again from the fireface software CD ?

I'm having the same problem and I cant solve it.

Best practice:

1) Switch off the unit
2) Trash the files listed here: http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9233
3) Restart the Mac
4) Empty Trash
5) Repair disk permissions for Macintosh HD (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility)
6) Install current driver

Typically, this solves any problems caused by "in place" operating system upgrades, Time Machine restoration or User account migration.
