seem you are so right ,
i also made a check with mac os 9,2,2 system and logic 4,8,1 (same configuration as in logic 8,0,2) ,
and the problem seem the same ,

then or the card firmware is corrupted , or wrong , or card is broken ,

where can i check if eprom is right ?

after thousends of test etc....
i get another 96/36 card and now many issues but not all are "solved"
( i also called the guy who sold me the card ....as full "working" ..
and
my "friend" (big and fat ) bring the card back .... , also "said" something in the ear of that "guy" ..)

now the probably "final" issue  is about a strange "glitching" ....(like dat apackage interruption)

i connected the adat out 1 (channels 1-8) to the digidesign adat bridge input 1

audio signal from 96/36 arrive without stranges delays ,
but any 5-10 seconds also glitching "pops" and "cricks & cracks" arrive ....
(only when audio signal is present)

i checked all possible buffer settings  inside logic 8

cpu meters of logic 8 show 10% to max 50% (then no cpu overloads)

what can be ?

the clock is set to " internal" (pro tools)

perhaps  i have to  connect the word clock out of adat bridge
to the word clock input of the 96-36 ?

.. i don't see word clock connection on the 96-36
