Topic: Praise RME!

This is no complaint or problem, just a big praise for RME audio hardware!

Fireface user since 2005 - used to the plenty features and functionalities that make the life of audio professionals easy. Got my hands on another device now from a not-so-unknown company which basically works and provides good audio quality but it's not even close to what RME delivers in flexibility and usability. This thing will make a good 8 channel preamp-/converterbox via adat but definately nothing like a main interface (feels like a toy in interface mode).

So I'll keep on enjoying Total Mix (total freedom indeed compared to the crippled routing abilities I've seen over the non-existing fence now) and go on routing anything to anywhere at any time for an hour now, just because I can cool

RME, please take my praise for creating such brilliant hardware with complete software access. Also Digi Check is such a great day-by-day tool, I'd hardly find a replacement. Really can't appreciate enough!

Same for me with the FF800. Now a UFX and a Babyface. More interfaces as money permits!

Multiface, Fireface 800 and Babyface user here.
Never found better stability/performance investment.

Now I'm waiting for a Babyface II that would embed a small display and support iPad smile

Current: RME UCX II
Previous: Multiface > Fireface 800 > Babyface > Babyface Pro > Babyface Pro FS

Re: Praise RME!

been through a few audio interfaces myself over the years, the UC is sublime. I do miss my Yamaha 01x a little though, was gutted when yamaha decided not to provide windows 7 drivers so I had to ditch it.

Re: Praise RME!

Nothing but praise here too.  Two FF800 and a UFX.  All are stable and sound great!!!  Also thanks to RME for their active presence here on the forum helping with questions!!!  I wish all the manufacturers would support their products like this!!!  :-)

Re: Praise RME!

I was lucky enough to get one of the first Multifaces in the UK and have never looked back..
Superb German engineering! And even though RME are now major players in the pro audio industry, we still have Matthias Carstens and the RME team to answer all the important (and trivial!) questions we care to throw at them! A rare, if not unique privilege..
