Topic: Mismatch Detected

Hi there

recent noob to the UFX and receiving this msg on startup.

Mismatch detected - channel and fx settings of ufx and totalmix are different

click yes to use totalmix settings (default)

click no to upload the ufx settings into total mix

Note: if unsure click no to check the units settings first then hit undo to restore the last totalmix settings

im sure its a simple procedure but if someone whos familiar could walk me through it would be awesome.

many thanks

Re: Mismatch Detected

It is pretty self-explanatory. If you change any settings in standalone mode Totalmix wants you to let it know whether or not you want your changes imported to the program, or if you want to restore the settings you had last time Totalmix was opened.

Re: Mismatch Detected

Yes, but what if neither of the options work (choosing yes or no) and the message keeps coming back and Cubase crashes when I try to get to the device controler?

There's another thread about this but that doesn't answer this question either. So... bump!

Cheers.

Re: Mismatch Detected

This problem is different, what is your driver and firmware version reported in the Fireface Settings app?

Re: Mismatch Detected

I can´t reach the Settings window if that's what you mean. In stand alone mode clicking on Options/Settings opens a window with Talkback/Listenback/Main Out etc. settings. In Cubase I could reach Settings by going to Device/Device Set Up/AsioDirectX Driver/Control Panel but now Cubase crashes as soon as I click Control Panel. And I can't seem to find the Flash Updat Tool on your site but that is probably my fault!

'About Total Mix' says version 0.962 and the printing on the driver CD says 01/2012 but I'm not sure that tells you anything.

I reckon I'll need to begin with re-installing the driver?

All the best,

Walter

Re: Mismatch Detected

Hi again,

I could reach the Settings Window through an older version of Cubase I still have installed on my pc. It's Driver version 1.018, hardware revison 41

Hope that helps. I can still record in the old Cubase version but I can't set input levels as when I click 'Asio Control Panal' I only get the settings, not the TotalMix.

Hope that helps...

Cheers,

Walter

Up to date USB driver is here: https://archiv.rme-audio.de/download/driver_usb_win.zip
Firmware update is here: https://archiv.rme-audio.de/download/fut_usb_win.zip

That link in Cubase has been broken for a while, you can launch the mixer and settings from the system tray icons.

Re: Mismatch Detected

Reinstalled everything (isn't Windows 7 a bitch when you want to uninstall stuff?) and it seems to be working now. Hurrah!
