Topic: fireface 800 and laptop without firewire/pcmcia slot

I have just received as gift a pavilion hp dv6 laptop..  nice computer but no firewire port/slot for any pc card... only USB 2.0
I have read about the possibility to connect the fireface in chain via hubs/external hard disk/i really don't know what..
someone can give me the light??

If it has a Xpress card slot you can try a FW Xpress card. Don't buy a combo-card and make sure it has a TI chip.

And hope it will work

Buy an RME interface with a USB connection to go with it.  No firewire needed!!  :-)

This Laptop Doesn't have any kind of slot for Xpress Card or something similar

when i'll became rich... but in the meantime.... I don't want to change My Fireface 800 with nothing..

I would like only to know if is possible to connect The FF to this Laptop with some other solutions.. like hubs, external HD...  just like i have read somewhere..

Sorry Alex.  I did not realize you already had a FF800.  Yes, that makes for a real problem.  Glad you have an older laptop you can use.
