Topic: Compression Issue UFX

I can hear in the distant background lots of clicking when using compression over my vocal microphone. It's like a digital artifact of some sort. it is apparent only when the little white ball is in the red area on dynamics screen on the channel when compressed. Has anyone else noticed this? Or am I doing something wrong?
