Topic: Babyface - Help with Routing Audio for Skype?

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum!

I'm trying to set up a skype guitar jam using a Fractal Audio processor into the main inputs of the Babyface. I would like to be able to have the signal chain passed through to Skype, circumventing the need for microphones. However, when I select Analog 1/2 as my "microphone" source for Skype, the person on the other end can ONLY hear my guitar, and not whatever backing track I'm playing on my computer. Is there any way to route the audio so that they get a sum mix of my guitar + software playback?

Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate any advice on this matter.

Hi,

In TotalMix:
1/ Select an unused stereo output (ADAT 7-8 ?).
2/ Set the level of the processor and the software playback for this sub-mix. Mix it according to your needs.
3/ Activate Loopback.
In Skype:
4/ Select the input ADAT 7-8 (if that is what you selected previously).
and you're done!

The downside is of course that you sacrifice an output for that use.

Thanks so much! Just one more question, for some reason now I can't control the levels of Analog 1/2 and Software playback in Totalmix. The sliders don't do anything ~

Re: Babyface - Help with Routing Audio for Skype?

You mean you don't hear a difference ? That's logical, since you don't change the listening sub-mix.
I suggest you read the manual in order to understand the basics of TotalMix, it's worth it!
