Topic: 48ch Setup FF800 I/O Logic 9

Hello!

In our studio we are using an analog console, 3 FF800 via FW daisychain. On those FF800 interfaces we have hooked up other interfaces via ADAT using 48 ins/outs. We dont use the front inputs coz we wanna keep it simple that ech input are followed by the output.

The problem we are having is more of an anoying thing than a real problem but here it goes.

In logic Pro 9 we see all interfaces but since we aint using the Mic inputs on the front every interface gets a structural shift in logic.
Also since we are using ADAT interfaces of another brand we want the 3 rme (24 channels) on the first 24 channels on the mixer AND in logic of course. Then have the rest 24chanels in a neat structure from there on our console, so we dont mix them up.

The problem is that logic see ALL possible ins and outs so even if you label all out and inputs correctly in logic all engineers/producers that hire the studio are freaking out. Any way to rout in logic (cant find any routing there what so ever) or to deselect channels, ie front mic inputs Spdif to show up in the DAW would be of great help! Or any other solution as well smile

Also, will buying UFX interfaces solve the problem ?

thanks for great forum!

Set up a track template with only the channels connected and tell them to use that?
