According to the tech specs on http://www.rme-audio.de/en_products_babyface.php the XLR outputs are servo-balanced, whereas the manual (PDF) stresses the fact that these outputs are not servo-balanced. Accordingly, the manual (on p. 7) warns against connecting pin 3 of the XLR output to ground when connecting to an unbalanced input. (Pin 3 to ground seems to be the most widespread configuration found in commercially available XLR-to-unbalanced cables, there these would require modification.)
So, which one is corrected, the tech specs on the website or the manual?
