Topic: Hum noise only from Guitar on Babyface

Hi,

Plugged in guitar using different cables and all I get is a humming noise with no guitar sound coming through at all?

Changed to Instr, increased gain etc but no joy.

Anyone had similar problem?

That happens to me as well, when I don't have the volume turned up on the guitar, long shot, but maybe?

I don't play guitar, but I would not expect there to be noise on the input at all.  Turning the volume up most likely is drowning out the noise would be my guess.  The noise is probably still present and still being recorded.

I recently moved to a new home and was dealing with humming noises on my FF800.  My problem was a ground loop that I resolved with an isolation transformer.  I only had the humming sound on a single input of my FF800, so the isolation transformer worked perfectly.
