Topic: Babyface loosing connection and causing kernal panics
i am using a Babyface with a Macbook Pro5,3 - 2.8ghz C2D w/ 8gigs of Ram. OSX 10.7.4
Yesterday while running audio from my babyface to a sound console, the babyface suddenly lost connection with the computer, and the level meters in Totalmix started flashing rapidly, as if it was connecting and disconnecting from the computer. I had the babyface plugged into one USB port, and a Dell external computer keyboard plugged into the other port. It was running off bus power. I was using Firmware v185, Driver v1.69, which I know is not the latest driver. Phantom power was not on, and no signal was coming into the device.
Today I downloaded the most recent driver, and using the same set-up, once again had the Babyface loose connection with the computer. This time it caused a system wide kernal panic, and I had to do a force restart of my computer.
Here are the console logs immediately proceeding today's kernal panic. They are similar to the ones yesterday when the Babyface lost connection.

Please help! I purchased this interface to have a clean and reliable interface for theater playback, but is useless to me if it won't maintain a reliable connection with my computer. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this.
Thanks! Mark
