Topic: UFX dropouts while working on server

Hi,

I'm trying to stream 1 audio channel out of an updated FireFace UFX (REV-352  FW-151  Driver-1022) which is connected by USB to a server (IBM X3650 M3 XEON E5507, 4GB RAM, Windows Server 2008 R2 X64).

Unfortunately I'm getting a lot of dropouts (every 2 seconds for a few milliseconds) even though the latency is 1024, has someone come across this kind of phenomenon?

Did someone try to use the UFX through USB to a server?

Thanks for any help,
Idan

Re: UFX dropouts while working on server

Best to run DPC Latency Checker first to see if any other driver (or BIOS) interferes.

Re: UFX dropouts while working on server

Hi,

I am not running a server, but I had some issues with onboard USB 2.0, too (High CPU load, dropouts, computer did not shutdown). Switching over to USB 3.0 on a PCIe card with "Renesas" chip. I am running Windows 7 64Bit. Make shure you get the latest drivers from Internet.
