Topic: Firmware problems on Fireface 400.

Hello, i´m having some issues with my FF400´s firmware.

Some days ago when i turn on my Macbook and plug my Fireface 400 I don't get any sound and the computer shows this message:

Warning.

RME Fireface Hardware Mismatch!

This driver version requires a new interface
firmware for enhanced functionality.

Please download the latest Flash Update Tool from
RME's website to update your Fireface.

https://archiv.rme-audio.de/download.php

The firmware version that appears to me since then is 1.47 and when trying to update again doesn´t allow me to install the current version, which is 1.70 if I remember correctly.

I've tried connecting the FF400 to other computers and the results have been the same.

Is there anyone who has suffered a similar problem? What should I do?

Thank you all for your time and best regards.

As stated in my email, I suspect you just forgot to switch the unit off an on after the firmware update.

Re: Firmware problems on Fireface 400.

Daniel,
first of all, thank you so much for you help.
( i sent my problem to the the international support RME email adress and he helped me online fast and precisely )
Well, I guess many people faces the same problem: fireface 400 on Macbookpro, can't upload the driver's new version.
I did what was suggested by Daniel on one of this forum's posts: http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=974 .
I using my OWC mercury hardrive as a hub to my macbookpro and fireface.
After uploading the suggested new driver version, it is now working perfectly.
The only thing I would like to tell you is: everytime you upload a driver version, as it asks you to swich the firefice off, you should take off not only the power supply but also the firewire cables, just like that, it will really turn off and the updates will occur.
Thank you very much, Daniel,
and I'll be waiting apple ( or RME) to new updates that solves this bug.
