Topic: [OSX ML - Babyface] System sounds only from left speaker

Since I upgraded to Mountain Lion, I hear the system sounds only coming from the left speaker. In other applications the audio seems to be working fine. I have upgraded to the newest driver v1.73 / firmware v185, but the problem still persists. Is this a bug or am I overlooking a setting in ML?

Re: [OSX ML - Babyface] System sounds only from left speaker

Today I tried reinstalling the drivers, but the system sounds still come from the left speaker.

I did some further testing. I experience the problem in the following situations:

* Changing the volume;
* Getting called with Skype or Facetime;

When I put something in the trash or empty the trash, the accompanied sounds play on both speakers

Re: [OSX ML - Babyface] System sounds only from left speaker

I think I managed to fix this problem by removing some sound settings plist files from Mac OSX. I trashed the following files:

/Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/Audio/
/Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/com.apple.soundpref.plist
/username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.soundpref.plist
/username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systemsound.plist

I then restarted my computer. After it restarts it uses the standard output of my Mac. I changed it to Babyface and restarted my computer again and it seems to work. The volume sound now plays over both speakers.
