I'm using Swordfish tube mic with external power and running that mic into UFX. But I'm having problem: I'm getting cracks and pops time-to-time. Those can be easily be heard as usually it clips microphone input. Sometimes it happens, sometimes don't.

Microphone is equiped with external power source which is providing power to mic thru 7 pin xlr cable. From the power source output is again normal 3 pin xlr.

What makes this situation interesting is that for some reason UFX is sometimes blinking AES light when microphone is clipping even though I don't have anything connected to AES.

BTW: What will happen if phantom is also on @ UFX during external power source? Will it be bad?

ps. question is also related to microphone so if it's tube mic experts here I might be interested to hear if old / bad tube can make this kind of situation?
