Topic: Best way to hook up a 5.1 Speaker, ASIO, and Xbox to AIO? Is RME>X-FI?

Hey! I have a HDSPe AIO card and was wondering how you guys would suggest hooking up my setup.

I Have:
-Xbox 360 5.1 Surround Sound (Optical)
-Windows 8 Games/Movies 5.1, Music in 2.1
-VST in Cubase going to RME's ASIO
-RME HDSPe AIO with AI4S and AO4s (4 additional input and outputs)

I was wondering. Is there any way to combine all these together into the RME card? I would like to be able to hear my ASIO through my Z-5500's as well as still use my computer with the z-5500's.

Questions:
1.) Is RME's board better than my onboard X-Fi when listening to music / playing games / watching music? Or is it the same quality. (Considering I'm limited to my z5500)
2.) Is there any way I can combine my setup above to all use one card?
(Windows -> RME AIO -> Optical Out -> Logitech Z-5500)
AND
(Xbox 360 -> Optical Out -> RME AIO's Optical In -> Z-5500)

3.) If I use the optical out on the RME AIO to my Z-5500 speakers, can I watch 5.1 movies and 5.1 games using my RME?

4.) If I use the Optical out on the RME, would I lose quality in my music rather than going with the analog out on the RME?

Setup:
i7-3930K / Rampage IV Extreme / 32GBMem / Win8.1 64-bit
Cubase 7.5

Been trying to figure out if what I want to do is possible, but I'm just so confused on the optical out part of the RME

Setup:
i7-3930K / Rampage IV Extreme / 32GBMem / Win8.1 64-bit
Cubase 7.5

I'm confused on what I would have to configure in TotalMix to send my Windows Audio (5.1 Movies and Games included) to my RME which goes to my Z-5500 (Since 5.1 maybe optical out?).

That way, when I play my VST samples in Cubase on RME's ASIO I can also hear it on my Z-5500.

-I would like to use my RME card for both Windows Audio and ASIO.

Setup:
i7-3930K / Rampage IV Extreme / 32GBMem / Win8.1 64-bit
Cubase 7.5

Spdif is just a pass through so your Logitech z5500 can do all the dts and dolby digital decoding of films and dts connect / dolby digital live for games.
Just change to the analogue input of your Logitech z5500 for when you are using a sequencer for asio etc.
Rme doesn't do dts decoding for films or games (they don't play games was the answer I got lol)
But powerdvd decodes dts etc and most modern games have software decoding for surround sound.
I hope this helps.
