Topic: Ufx unbalanced outputs as additional outputs to a summing mixer?

Hi,
I have ordered a fireface ufx today and ask myself if I can use addtional front unbalanced (headphones) outputs of the ufx to my summing mixer?

Does it require a Y cable? My summing unit has 16 balanced analog inputs. Do i need additional information or do i miss something?

You should be able to do this, there might be slight level differnces but no real problems.

You could use Analog Out 1-12, and the ADAT & AES Out with a DAC would give you 10-18 more.

I have thought of this approach as well, you could use the DAW effects and automation with real-time analog mixing.

I'd like to hear a comparison of summing-box mix to DAW ITB mix engine....

yes I have dangerous dbox with FF400 and I use y cable for 7 and 8 from headphones.

works great!

@ boz : yes i have thought about this as well...but the 4 free inputs on the summer will be used with external synth...
