i hope i translated it ok..
this RME FF800 cost me my three month sallary and now i dont know what to do?
only thing that he can do is to change the mother board but i cant get that anywhere here and it is probably expencive like the whole FF800...
PLEASE HELP ME... IM DESPERATE...
I have replaced the PHY controller TSB81BA3b two times. I have also replaced the protective coils on fw400 port and ESD protection diodes on all three ports. I patched all burned traces that are visible. What's interesting is that the card receives the bias from the computer parity but the bias which PHY controller sends back to the computer dissapears when a FW cable is connected. All components related to that (bias stabilization capacitor, port termination resistor and RC members) are ok. I didn't manage to determine why the bias dissapears when a cable is connected. The logical explanation would be that there's a short circuit or bad connection somewhere but I excluded that as a potential causes.
