Hey guys, feeling a bit overwhelmed.....I'll try and start from the beginning.....

I decided I was going to try to replace my pedalboard with a laptop. I bought Guitar Rig 5 along with the Native Instruments Rig Kontrol for my Audio Interface/Midi controller. This was all working pretty great. Just running my bass to the Rig Kontrol and that to the Amp.

Then I noticed my clean sound....wasn't....as....good.....there was a lot of tone suck. I kinda figured that was because I bought a cheap audio interface so I bought the RME Babyface. After the usual Windows 7 driver troubles, I finally got it all hooked up......but now I'm totally lost. I'm assuming I should be plugging the bass into the instrument jack on the side of the Baby. I've got the USB connected to the laptop.....not quite sure where to go with the Breakout cable. I've gotten it to where there's a very very slight signal registering in Totalmix (like, with all the gain and stuff cranked, it gets to the first notch) but even though I have the babyface selected as my interface in Guitar Rig.....but can't get any signal going in there.

I'm looking for this just to be integrated into my rig. As my effects processor. Bass to Babyface/laptop to amp to cabs.

UPDATE: OK. I've been messing around with the settings on it and I've finally gotten to boost the signal, slightly. And I'm I'm starting to get a little bit of signal in Guitar Rig. I'd say it's still about half the volume of signal I was able to get with the Rig Kontrol, though. Gonna keep messing around and searching forums to see if I can get a stronger signal through.

I'm still about clueless on how to get the signal from the laptop to the amp, though. I'm sorry, guys. I'm used to just plug and play pedals. I'm using the headphone outs and getting a really fuzzy weak sound....I'm know this is a "duh" with the headphone out....but how else do you connect the Babyface into the amp? Or can I send it into my Rig Kontrol (keeping it as a midi foot controller) somehow and then have that go to the amp?
