Topic: Add Coax SPDIF with Analog Ins thru ADAT in BabyFace?

I have BabyFace. I need to add 6-8 Analog preamps/inputs. that's the easy part. But I also need a COAXIAL SPDIF Output.

1) Is it possible to use both 8chPreamp thru ADAT Inout, but Use ADAT Out for COAXIAL SPDIF out?

2) Are there any devices on the market that offer 8 ch preamp in one unit and Coaxial SPDIF out, and connect thru ADAT to a soundcard?

I'am not aware of such an interface. The only chance is a combination, like a preamp (OctaMic II) on the ADAT input plus a second device, which can route 2 channels from it's ADAT input to an integrated SPDIF coaxial output. This could be any Fireface or maybe a digital effects unit, bypassing the effects. If you already own an 8 channel preamp, you could use a Fireface 400/UC and use it as stand alone ADAT converter and coaxial SPDIF output.
