Topic: TotalMix Bug report: can't select "Enable MIDI Control"

OSX.6.8, TotalMix 0.985
I woke up my mac from standby mode. "Enable MIDI Control" had been automatically disabled.
Problem: I could not select it again until I quit & restarted TotalMix.
MIDI controller is correctly setup in the Settings... menu.
MIDI controller is received correctly within Max.
This happened two times in a week after waking up from standby. I haven't found how to reproduce yet.

Re: TotalMix Bug report: can't select "Enable MIDI Control"

I've got a somewhat similar problem here with 10.8.1 and TMFX 0.985 (firewire)
I can enable the midi control, but it gets disabled quite often on its own, and I have to manually enable it again from the settings.

Re: TotalMix Bug report: can't select "Enable MIDI Control"

MiIDI gets disabled automatically when the currently used MIDI ports are not available. Either this really happens for a moment, for example because a reset happens (under FireWire you just need to attach or detach a different FW unit). Under USB that should not happen. Or there is something wrong on our side. Then we need a precise report on how to reproduce it, so we might be able to make the MIDI-port-detection-disabled-control thing more reliable.

Re: TotalMix Bug report: can't select "Enable MIDI Control"

I've been using Midi Patchbay in between my controllers and TMFX. It's virtual ports are always available, as it starts with my OS, before TMFX.
I already updated to TMFX 0.985 when still having 10.6.8, but this only started happening after installing mountain lion. Maybe I should have waited a little longer before updating.  :-°
I only have one FW unit, so in my case it's not about attaching a different unit.

Re: TotalMix Bug report: can't select "Enable MIDI Control"

It is difficult to give you a precise report on how to reproduce. It happens a couple of times every day.
For instance, when unplugging/plugging USB hub on which remote device is.
I confirm that every time, remote device is still working correctly with Max.
