Topic: Fireface800 and RetinaDisplay MacBookPro

I want to buy the new RetinaDisplay MacbookPro or MacBook air.
I own Fireface 800, and want to use Fireface using an official extension cable Thunderbolt to Firewire800. (http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/11/30784 … t-ethernet)
Does it work?

Re: Fireface800 and RetinaDisplay MacBookPro

We haven't tested this one, but one from Sonnet, and it worked. So chances are quite good.

Edit: I confused that. The Sonnet one was an ExpressCard to FW. So no info about TB to FW (although it should work).

Ok, so have you tested it already? There are apple connectors THB to FW officially available from apple.com

Re: Fireface800 and RetinaDisplay MacBookPro

I read on the MacRumors that the Fireface 400 works perfectly.
I suppose it has no reason not to work since it behaves like an integrated controller.

Somebody will probably confirm this...

Re: Fireface800 and RetinaDisplay MacBookPro

Can anyone please confirm that the FF800 works in practice with Apple's THB to FW cable?
