Topic: FF UC, litches when a PCI-e wifi card is plugged : can I avoid this ?

Hi all,

I just put this model on my motherboard : Wifi card to have internet connection. It works well for the internet but since I installed it, I have glitches and errors with my FF UC (never had a problem before).

So, the wifi card is the cause of glitches (I unplugged it, problems disappeared) but is there a way to make the FF UC and this card work together (I have no other PCIe available) ?

Thanks.

Maybe you could test an USB WIFi device?
The UC can not make other hardware behave properly, unfortunately.

Hi,

yes it works with an USB Wifi device but causes problems with authorization of softwares that work with computer ID : it makes 2 computer ID, one with USB wifi device plugged, one with USB wifi device unplugged, so 2 authorizations needed.

Regarding your sentence : "The UC can not make other hardware behave properly, unfortunately", I'm not sure to understand ?

What I meant is if the WiFi card misbehaves, there is not much the UC or its driver can do to prevent that. You could also try another such card, of course. Also try disabling PCIe power saving in BIOS and Windows.

Ah yes OK.

I'll try disabling PCIe power saving.

Thanks smile.
