Topic: Babyface - How To

Hi everybody,

I need help, I just can't figure out how to record a phone call, made through the pc.
I use my Babyface, a Rode mic (works!), Audition CS6 and programs such as Poivy or Skype to communicate.

I just can't put everything to work so that I can make interviews (and record them) calling on the phone.

Can anybody give me a hint ?

Thanks in advance

Ernesto

Re: Babyface - How To

Thanks Daniel for your fast reply. I have read the manual but it is not clear how to do it practically.

Re: Babyface - How To

Still I have problems. For a moment let's forget about recording voice calls. Let's try recording any music played on the pc. For instance on Winamp. (yes I have Win7).
It seems to be rather easy, push play on the player, push play, push Loopback on the output and start recording on Audition. The problem is that it records only if the output level is high, and with speakers on it's a problem! I just cant imagine how to send to Audition a high volume signal and to the speakers a low one or none at all ...

Can anyone help ?

Re: Babyface - How To

Use a different (unused) output channel for loopback. The playback signal can be routed to any other hardware output channel(s) where the monitoring level will not affect the loopback signal.

Hi Jeff, I really appreciate your help. I'm afraid I'm totally stupid, I just can't get independent monitoring level.

Re: Babyface - How To

can I post a screenshot of my Totalmix?

with this setting I only can record if I raise the Main volume (Main Output is assigned to AN 1/2)
