Topic: Totalmix and unit 500 routing

Hi community,

So, I bought an RME AUDIO FIREFACE 802 FS, and I'm struggling to set up my 500 rack with my analog EQs on it.

I’d like to be able to use my EQs as external plugins (something I could easily do with my Clarett 8Pre thanks to its simple routing), but here, I don’t understand a thing.

How do I configure my stereo channel in TotalMix so that the sound from my DAW goes into my 500 unit for mixing and then back into my DAW? I’m totally lost...

For example, before, on the Focusrite controller, I would set the hardware output 3 and 4 to DAW 3 and 4, and then the ADAT output 3 and 4 to analog 3 and 4. Everything worked perfectly.

In TM FX, each HW output has an individual submix.
In submix mode, select a HW output to see the routing/the submix according to fader positions in top and middle row.
Top row = HW inputs
Middle row = SW playbacks = Audio from PC/DAW/audio application.
