Topic: PT9 and Fireface 400 question

Hi all! I'm sorry if this question has been already answered (I did search but couldn't find an answer).

I have a Fireface 400 and recently got Pro Tools 9. I'm having difficulties to play from other audio sources (for example Youtube, WMP, etc). when Pro Tools is on. I've configured the inputs and outputs in PT so that it shouldn't use Fireface's playback channels 3&4 which I use for other playback. I'll attach a pic of my Pro Tools i/o settings. Both the input and output configuration are exactly identical.

In TotalMix the playback channels 3&4 are routed back to my monitors which are on output 1&2. These settings work great on Ableton Live.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that both PT and Windows are set to 44.1.

Re: PT9 and Fireface 400 question

These settings are misleading as PT9 seems to grab all ASIO channels, no matter what you do.

Re: PT9 and Fireface 400 question

Thank you Matthias for the answer. That being the case I'll have to settle for my on board sound device (which I really rather not use).

Cheers and thanks again.
