Topic: Trouble with P67 chipset : ASRock Extreme4 mb. HDSPe PCIe not respond
I've recently updated my machine to a Sandy Bridge chipset. I've run into a problem with getting the HDSPe PCI card to function properly since this upgrade.
The drivers install and the card is recognized, but it doesn't work. It shows I/O box : Error
When running DSP Settings, clicking any button or the About tab locks up the DSP Settings software.
I put the card in an older machine and it works fine, so it appears the card is not the problem.
My hardware is as follows :
MB : ASRock P67 Extreme4. BIOS 1.3. I've tried both PCIe slots with the same results.
RAM: g.skill ripjaws 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600
CPU: Core i5-2500k
Video: Radeon HD 5850
HDSPe : Firmware revision 18, driver 3.085
OS: Windows 7 x64
Has anyone been able to get this board to work successfully or have any insight to this issue.
