this works better, you´re right.

it still happens that if I change from my 1920x1080 external monitor to the laptop screen that the totalmix window get´s locked like in my first link. the thing is it can´t be dragged; turning 2 rows on doesn´t help in this case.

workaround: turn on mirroring of the displays & then resize it manually.

But if I forget this procedure and go somewhere and don´t have my external monitor with me (which is more often than not the case) I´m in trouble...

I hope my description makes sense.

I understand that fixed width and height of the channel strips is putting less stress on the CPU but you could at least add some options for width and height of the strips and still keep them "static" from the programmer view.

I think that an option for constant gradient and quantized "LED rectangle" bar would be a good improvement.
