Topic: I forgot to uninstall old drivers on update and now I get errors

As far as I can make out, the last time I updated my HDSP9652 drivers I accidentally left the original drivers in place.
Now when I start my computer running Win7 64bit I get the following error messages in little windows.

Under box with header Message:
Can`t open AsIO.sys!!(2)
Can`t open AsIO.sys!!(2)

Under box with no header:
unknown Super IO chip

Under box  header FanProfileFactory:
Unknown profile type or fan type

Under box with header Message:
Can`t open AsIO.sys!!(2)
Can`t open AsIO.sys!!(2)

Does anyone have any idea how I can make these messages go away?
Once I cancel them, the system is working just fine with no IO issues of any kind.

Anybody???

Re: I forgot to uninstall old drivers on update and now I get errors

I don't think this is caused by non-deinstallation of old drivers... Have you tried googling for these messages? Not something I've seen, I must admit.

Thanks anyway!  I only thought it might be RME related because it started happening around the time I installed the newest drivers.

Re: I forgot to uninstall old drivers on update and now I get errors

Just to clarify... AsIO.sys has nothing to do with ASIO... It's an Asus file: http://www.file.net/process/asio.sys.html

That leaves me speechless. Not only that this kind of completely obsolete tools is known to cause DPC dropouts, they also chose a name which can't be more misleading and embarassing as well, demonstrating that their developers have no clue of what is going on in the world outside their labs...

Exactly! Just how insular an you get!!!!

I will go and do some ass chewing over at Asus.
Sorry to have bothered you guys - it was just that this all started at the same time as UI updated my drivers for the RME, so I assumed it had to be related!

But really - AsIO.............
