Topic: Mac Pro, Win7, FF800 and Bootcamp - would it work?

Hi,

I read quite a few articles here about Bootcamp + Win 7 and the Fireface. I'm thinking of buying either a second hand or a new Mac Pro in order to use it with my Fireface 800. I was wondering, how is the current situation? Is Bootcamp sorted now? Is it reliable enough to work with large track numbers, to record on all channels at once + playing back?

Any advice + hint is appreciated!

Cheers!

Hi,
I'm using a FF800 with a Mac Pro (Firewire 800 connection) and don't have any problem with it. Besides, the Mac Pro has excellent DPC latencies and works better with Windows 7 than many Desktop PCs that I've tried :-).
Best regards,
Max

Thanks Max,

That's good to hear, will definitely have a look into the Macs then.
