i have been using the FF 400 with a Dell Precision laptop (Windows XP SP3, 2GB RAM) for 3 years without problems until recently, when recording stereo with wavelab 4 or 5 one channel is considerably louder than the other. i have checked my input signal (reversed L -R channel) and the problem persists. i have reinstalled drivers (tried various editions) and firmware and the problem persists. mixer and matrix are set fine. i have no idea what else to check. please advise!
