Topic: HDSP PCIe + Multiface 1 - Can i expand that system with more outputs?

Hey there.

I have the HDSP PCIe and Multiface 1 but i only have 8 outputs. I need more! Is there a way to expand that system with more outputs?

Hi,
yes, there is, just connect an ADI-8DS or ADI-8QS to the lightpipe output (ADAT) of your Multiface.

Or any ADAT equipped DAC for that matter wink

As you can see, I'm really not a hardware expert. :-) But i think i've got it. So i can connect any DAC that has ADAT equipped. DAC because the signal that ADAT sends is digital, so it has to be converted to analog signals. Is that right?
