Topic: HDSPe AIO System Clock incorrect

Hi folks,

I just installed a new AIO card, latest firmware latest drivers. I am syncing it externally to an RME ADI-8DS.

The Input Status on the driver settings is showing "sync" at adat at 44.1 correctly (I've selected this), but the System Clock underneath is showing 44099? When I set the external clock to 48, the System Clock correctly shows 48000.

What's up with the 44099? Anyone else come across this?

Also, which clock is regarded as superior between the AIO and the ADI-8DS?

Re: HDSPe AIO System Clock incorrect

Question is not what is the best clock. Best clock is always internal. So question is what clock is most critical for what I´m doing now. So when recording it is the AD converter you are recording with and when doing critical listening, it´s the DA converter. That is of course when your setup allows you to do this, in a setup with muliple synchronised clocks this is impractical. If in doubt about what I´m saying here, read http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jun10/a … clocks.htm  if you are not to interested read conclusion only.
