Topic: UFX Firewire and Win7 64 sound control panel

Hi All,

Have UFX installed on win7 64 and everything physically is working fine.
I had been using USB, but I am running out of USB ports so I installed the
latest firewire drivers 3.040 ( I tried the 3.034 first) and have the latest
firmware.

I am noticing that in the windows sound control panel ADAT 2 1+2 is not
showing up as "ADAT 2 1+2". It is showing up as "SPDIF Interface".
If I select "SPDIF Interface" as my default device in windows the audio comes out on
the UFX ADAT 2 1+2 ports. Both AES and SPDIF show up as outputs.

When using the UFX with USB the windows panel shows all 16 ADAT
ports and AES correctly.

In Nuendo and Pro Tools, everything works fine and is labeled fine.
Just the windows audio control panel when using firewire looks to
be labeled incorrectly.

Did I do something wrong or is this just the way it is supposed to be
when using firewire?

Thanks,
Chip Borton

Ok, went to the 3.041 driver and things look ok now.
