Topic: FF800 calibration

Hi.

I resently did an I/O test on my FF800.

I'm sending a -6 dB sine wave in and out of the analog channels.

The signal coming back i peaking -6.4 dB, when it should be peaking -6.

I have has been told this most likely has something to do with calibraton. I belive it is the voltage level on the out and input channel.

It has been 1.5 years since i bought it.

Will RME take a look at this?

Re: FF800 calibration

Up to 0.5 dB total loss is acceptable I guess. More important is, there should not be significant difference between all input channels. As far as I know there is no user-side calibration on FF800.

Re: FF800 calibration

That is not only correct but intentional. Imagine the I/Os would have the exact same level reference and then - as unavoidable - one or the other I/Os varies by 0.1 dB only, but in the wrong direction. Making an analog loop then would cause overload.
