Topic: Fireface 400 converter?

Hello, I'm considering to buy a Fireface 400 because I need more I/O
I already have a FF800 and I have 3 pairs of monitors, but I don't like monitor controller in general and I'm thinking to use a FF400 to connect my monitors

What I want to know is if it has the same converters of the Fireface 800

And also if it has 8 identical line input, I mean I see in the front panel it has 2 line/mic and 2 line/instrument, I will use them only for line, so I will connect them to the patch bay, will they work independently as 8 identical line in? Or does they have any difference?

Thank you

No, but the difference is only on paper.

Yes, the Fireface 400 has eight line inputs. Plus eight more with an external ADAT converter.

Thank you, could you explain this better? What's the difference on paper and the difference in sound?

I'm a happy FF800 user smile

Re: Fireface 400 converter?

If there is a difference in sound it´s very difficult to find. But you can see some differences on the specification paper (manuals).
