I have a Fireface UFX which I'm running off a 2008 Macbook Pro (2.4 dual, 4 gig ram, 10.5.8).  I'd been running it via USB and it worked fine.   I then ran into a track count issue using Logic where I wanted to use an external USB HDD and run the UFX via Firewire.   I had been running a Fireface 800 on this machine up until getting the UFX.  When I plugged in the UFX via Firewire, I was getting no TotalMix FX.   I realized the the control panel for the FF800 had popped up, so the UFX was being recognized as a FF800.

As I understood it, the drivers and app are the same for the UFX and FF800, so I'm not sure how to make the right device be recognized and the right application pop up.

Ideas?
