Topic: Babyface and wake from sleep MacbookPro 2010 model

Hi folks,
Just wondering if anyone can clarify something for me re the Babyface.

I'm having an issue causing garbled distorting audio, if my Macbook Pro has been running and I hot plug the Babyface into either of the USB ports.
I have to do a restart (of the macbookPro) to rectify the problem. Is this something that is known?

I am using the latest drivers and firmware.

Overall, the Babyface is working great (only had a few days) other than the problem described.

Regards,
Matt

We can not reproduce this problem, but others reported it before:

Can you please try two things?

Step 1. Install a test tool which shows stream info. A typical display for a simple iTunes playback at 44.1 kHz would be

Fireface UC test
Samples in Out FIFO:
MIN:  6
MAX: 7

At 96 kHz you would see MIN: 12 and MAX: 13. If the playback is disturbed you might see completely different values. But I am pretty sure that the values will be correct and the sound is distorted nonetheless.

Step 2: Try driver 1.51. Not sure it will solve this specific issue, but it is worth a try.

Mmm,
I think I might be on to something and then I may also be completely off the mark but here goes...
(the test tool worked as expected btw)

If I sleep the Macbook Pro with Totalmix FX running (doesn't need to be visible), it will work. If I sleep the MBP with the Totalmix FX not running, I get the garbled audio thing.... but not everytime.

I don't think this is really related. Please try driver 1.51. We are working on a new driver that is even better than 1.51, means again more stable and reliable, maybe that one will be the final fix then. We'll see on monday.
