Topic: Making changes in Driver Panel manually freezing up host.

Hi,

I seems I ran into the same issue as some other before....    unfortunately i have not found a solution yet in any of the threads about this problem.    one in particular was closed without having a solution.

here's the problem.
I cannot open the driver panel from my host application.
the temp solution which was introduced from one of the admins half a year ago works only if i close the host application before i make a change inside of the panel.

if i make the change while a VSTi is open, it will freeze the host.

is there any other "working" workaround ; ) ?

is there a fix in sight?

--------------------------------

stuff i've noticed:
i am using win7 64
i did some tests on a fresh system with several hosts, most of them host only (not sequencer)
it seems that the issue was not there from the beginning...  it worked for a while, i could open the panel from inside the host just fine...   and probably after installing a specific software the problem was there again and from that moment on it wasn't working again in any of the hosts... even the ones which worked fine before.
i have no idea what triggered the problem again.  cubase is not on the system.

Re: Making changes in Driver Panel manually freezing up host.

IIRC, the new beta drivers resolve this issue - give them a shot unless this is a production/income machine (otherwise wait until the final drivers are released).

cool

MADIface-XT+ARC / 3x HDSP MADI / ADI648
2x SSL Alphalink MADI AX
2x Multiface / 2x Digiface /2x ADI8
