Topic: FR: Use USB2 and FW *at the same time* with different computers

Im guessing this may be impossible, but here goes:

Is there any chance in future that it might be possible to use the USB2 and FW interfaces on the UFX at the same time from two differentt computers?

The scenario is I have my PC permenantly plugged into the UFX via FW and my MBP is plugged ino the UFX via USB2 when needed.

Currently there is also a small annoyance where I have to power cycle the UFX in order for it to recognise the USB connection in preference to FW which is a separate issue - be better if there was a quick font panel method of interface selection (I just never feel easy about unnesseary power cycling, also Im still on the latest production release not a beta, so perhaps this may have changed?).

Also relatted - A while ago I posted to inform of a blue screen crash on a PC should you happen to connect both FW and USB ports to the PC at the same time, for example, to reflash the UFX when you normally use it via FW. The reason for connecting both at the same time was simply down to being difficult to get at the rear of the UFX or the PC whiles its in its rack whereas I keep the USB cable free for connecting to my MBP. Dont know if any recent work has changed this situation?

This is not possible as the FPGA is configured from the flash to work in one (!) of both modes.

Regarding the BSOD: I was able to reproduce that easily when you reported it before, but must confess that I lost overview if that has been fixed meanwhile. Will check again.

OK Cheers - thought that was probably how the FPGA was setup.
