MAC PRO quad core 2.66GHz
Snow Leopard 10.6.2
FF 800 using the firewire 800 cable.
Protools 9
88.4 KHz sample rate

Approximately every second time I turn my studio system on the FF 800 is frozen.
Input channels are all showing signal on the LED ladders but no sound.
The FF 800 is powered on as I turn on the AC power at the wall which also starts up the front end of my studio.
I then start the computer last.

When this happens I turn off the FF 800 at its switch, wait till the application has gone from my screen then start the FF 800 again with its own switch.
This solves the problem but I know this is not the correct way to start up the converter. It should start up before the computer.
Can anybody help please?
