Topic: installing a HDSP 9652 without original driver

Hi,

I just got a 3 year old HDSP 9652 (rev 1.6, ser 22429810, my system is xp sp2, 32bit).  I didn't get the cd rom, so I don't know which drivers came with the card originally.  I'm a little confused about how to proceed. I read I need to check the firmware with the FUT before I can use the latest driver, but I can't because the card is not installed. Is there another way to check, or might it be a good idea to use an older driver version first?

Thanks in advance

Kind regards

Just install the latest driver (v3.085), and after the driver is installed you can use the Flash Update Tool to upgrade the card to a compatible firmware. In other words, you can install the newest driver when the card has an old firmware, you just can't "use" it until you flash the card.
