Topic: Windows 7 "Have disk" driver not working

I have a Fireface UFX with firmware version 1.12. I just downloaded the latest drivers from the RME website but when I select the folder containing the files I'm told the folder is not valid. Can anyone please help me. Thanks

Re: Windows 7 "Have disk" driver not working

I think I have now managed to install the drivers by not pointing to the folder but the driver directly.

Re: Windows 7 "Have disk" driver not working

When I try and install fut_usb.exe to update the firmware windows asks me for permission to install the software, I reply yes but then nothing happens

Re: Windows 7 "Have disk" driver not working

The UFX must be connected via USB and powered on in order to run the FUT. This program writes new firmware to the device.

Hi,

I am connected via USB and my present driver is 3.0.34.0 from device manager

Re: Windows 7 "Have disk" driver not working

That is the driver for FW connection, you also need this one for USB connection:

Hi thanks that worked. But when I switch on its still saying FW 1.12, is that normal?

Re: Windows 7 "Have disk" driver not working

That is the current "stable" firmware, so yes.
