Topic: Babyface Suggestion
So far the Babyface is the bees knees for me.
It's design and feature set combined with TotalMix is absolutely brilliant for what I want.
I'm extremely pleased.
But I have one suggestion...(which is probably well known to RME).
I believe a more precision part needs to be sourced for the rotary encoder.
The current encoder shaft has no small amount of slack, and the dial (with it's diameter and mass) amplifies the slack to an alarming degree.
I could see this introducing premature wear and failure of the encoder.
At first, I thought it was loose fitting of the dial to the shaft, but upon investigation it is the rotary encoder that has remarkably generous tolerances.
The Babyface is such a great unit and is worthy of a precision spec encoder.
Cheers!
