Topic: TotalMix FX and Global Record

This may be covered elsewhere, but it seems to be a moving target ...

We're talking W7, BabyFace, latest revisions.  If I am running TotalMix FX (for operational reasons) and recording via DigiCheck Global Record, even if I have the Global Record window minimised, the level indications in TotalMix Fx currently may still be inaccurate due to their asynchronous polling of the firmware level calculation buffers by TotalMix and DigiCheck?

Yes, but there is no problem if you choose ASIO level meters in DIGICheck.

Re: TotalMix FX and Global Record

Thanks for the response.

In the case described above, as ASIO seems to be the only option available (the "Hardware Level" option is greyed out) then it appears that simultaneous use of TMFX and DigiCheck is always fine.

I appreciate that DigiChgeck is used across the whole of the RME product range, but as it would appear that the majority of users will now tend to use ASIO, perhaps the historical perspective that simultaneous use should be avoided could be replaced by a more definite statement that use under ASIO is fine but that use with WDM?/hardware meters?/??? should be avoided.
