Topic: AIO pcie breakoutcable

Im thinking of switching to rme, a quick qestion about the aio pcie card.
Can I connect analog line out from my engl 530 guitar preamp to the included breakout cable or do I need a ad converter?

The AIO card has a stereo A/D converter. Get the optional balanced breakout cable and you can connect Line out of the preamp to line in on the card (TRS->XLR).

Thanks for your reply, im gonna get aio pice card and the optional balanced breakout cable and need to know:

output from the optional balanced breakout cable, male or female?
input to the optional balanced breakout cable, male or female?
